Program Finder

Goal

Antioch University needed an intuitive, powerful program exploration tool, a scalable solution for listing programs (and later faculty), that would deliver a seamless search experience. The goal was to empower editors with a highly flexible Gutenberg block that could fetch any post type based on attributes like taxonomy or custom fields, while delivering immediate, client-side filtering and a clean template layout for uniformity across use cases.

Result

I developed a custom Gutenberg block plugin that powers the Program Finder with blazing-fast, client-side search and filter capabilities. The block dynamically pulls any post type like faculty, program, page, post ect. based on taxonomy and custom field selections, delivering instant results without page reloads. Coupled with templates optimized for consistent UX, editors can now deploy advanced directory pages with live filtering, search, and layout control, giving prospective students and site visitors a frictionless discovery experience.
