Goal
The goal of the Common Thread project was to modernize and simplify Antioch University's decentralized content ecosystem by merging three separate platforms, articles, the alumni magazine, and a podcast, into a unified WordPress site. The goal was to create a cohesive editorial experience with new custom post types, branding alignment, and design consistency, while offering content editors a central dashboard for managing all content formats.
Result
I delivered a full WordPress rebuild featuring a consistent branded look and four dedicated post-type templates, Articles, Notes, Magazine entries, and Podcasts, each with customized archive layouts. This consolidated editorial infrastructure allows all content to be managed from a single unified system, improving discoverability and reducing redundancy. The redesign organizes and streamlines storytelling across formats, making it easier for audiences to explore, and editors to maintain the Common Thread platform with consistency and clarity.
