First United Methodist Church Waynesville

Goal

The project aimed to transform an outdated web presence into a modern, high-performance site that church staff could easily manage. Built with Gatsby and integrated with Contentful CMS, the new design needed to include dynamic sermon and blog sections, a countdown to upcoming services, Mailchimp powered newsletter sign-ups, and seamless event and small group listings. The objective was a comprehensive rebuild, both sleek in design and effective in engagement, while ensuring a streamlined editorial experience.

Result

The completed site delivers a clean, responsive user experience, optimized for speed thanks to Gastsby and static site generation. Behind the scenes, Contentful templates make it simple for staff to add sermons, blog posts, events, and small groups. A countdown timer keeps visitors aware of service times, while Mailchimp integration enables easy newsletter subscriptions. Custom design and code deliver polished visuals, fast load times, and reliable content workflows, creating a modern digital hub that elevates FUMC Waynesville’s presence and outreach.
