Goal
Antioch University needed a suite of reusable, on-brand content blocks to enrich their site with dynamic, structured, and easy-to-use components. The goal was to empower content editors with tools like hero banners, icon lists, facts capsules, filtered program search, news and testimonial feeds, profiles, accordions, and standout styled text, all wrapped in one cohesive, branded plugin. This would give editors flexibility in layout and functionality, without them having to write code.
Result
To meet this, I built a custom WordPress plugin, leveraging React, to deliver a powerful collection of Gutenberg blocks. Editors now have access to blocks like hero banners, icon lists, accordions, program finders, news feeds, and rainbow-styled text, with consistent branding and UI. The plugin includes advanced functionality like predictive program search, content filtering, sticky anchors, and profiles, all maintainable via WordPress’s block editor. As a result, the Antioch site gained significantly improved editorial speed and consistency, along with engaging, interactive content designed to connect deeply with prospective students and community members.
